Sitting here with my third slice of obscenely buttery toast and Marmite, I'm driven to wonder (I have very little else to do, folks) what other Mumsnetters are quietly scoffing while the darlings are unconscious....or are you all size eight(not that there's anything wrong with that...I just prefer my marmite and toast)

I'm getting the Minstrels...but the Lady Grey tea is more likely to be substituted for merlot here at the bad parenting institute!

sultana branflakes - the sugar content is actually huge and then twiglets with rose wine.
if i have it in digestives with cheddar and golden syrup and a glass of milk!!!

And, fairybeliever, what exactly is wrong with Marmite? Do I have to spread the gospel to you? Firmly LOVE Marmite at Casa Jaynehater!! (Not hating swiss roll, mind you...any calorie considered without bias here)

LuckyLady74 are you my mother in law? I refuse to believe more than two people pair cheddar with syrup and digestives? If you are actually Fay, leave me alone, I'll have Mumsnet, you have the Bad Mothers Club, no fair!! If you're not, I've got a number for someone with equally unique supper menus!!!

Well actually never tried 'Bovril' as it looks like marmite...but i did like bovril crisps.

Should try it really, but not as brave as i used to be.

Is it similar to the crisps or marmite?

Just come from my development (psychic) group and every week a lady bakes fab cakes for us, I took a piece home and have just eaten it. Second slice of homemade cake I've had today as mate brought some round earlier.

Admittedly, Bovril requires more bravery than M?%*& (hope that assists your delicate sensibilities, fairy-girl) I think it's quite like the crisps. Sadly for my thighs, my mind has now wandered in the direction of the streaky bacon rashery things DH keeps a constant supply of ... it's your fault, you brought up crisps

I'm actually a bit worried now that LuckyLady74 IS my mother-in-law, and I've p'd her off by dismissing her from 'my' site. More crisps.

Getting a little spooked now. Do you eat sardines in tomato sauce on toast, with grilled cheese? If you do, you have a lost twin in Angus who could validate your avant-garde tastes!!
