Vegetarian haggis

Hi

I've bought myself a veggie haggis, I've had it before, but always in place of meat in a roast dinner.

Any other ways that would be good? I don't eat meat/fish or nuts

I had this for breakfast at a hotel with sauteed mushrooms, beans and potato scones. Was lovely :)

I had some last week. Cooked it, then stuffed into portobello mushrooms, topped with Parmesan and panko breadcrumbs

(And obviously put them back into the oven until breadcrumbs were browned!)

We had a meal in a Scottish/Japanese restaurant last week and tried a starter of haggis balls in tempura batter with katsu curry sauce. I expect you could use breadcrumbs and bake them if you don't fancy deep frying (I'd do it that way as I'm a complete wimp around hot oil).

Haggis cakes - cold mashed potato with a little egg and flour to bind, formed into a cake, with a big dod of haggis buried in the middle. Bake in the oven. Yum. I have done this one many a time and it's gorgeous.
