Minimum mess if poss or prepare ahead so I don't have a huge clean up after dinner when my son and husband are home

Here's what we had last week

Skate wing with capers mash and green bean and carrots
Sausages and Yorkshire's gravy bla bla
Chili con carne
Chicken tray bake with peas
Left over dinner
Then Saturday we were out for lunch
Today lacking motivation

I need to order the grocery shop so any tips massively appreciated my appetite isn't fantastic

I'll get fish from fish monger fresh

Thank you

I’m doing a massive pot of minestrone soup, it’s a favourite.
I put in whatever’s in that could go, so this week it’s got carrots, peppers, courgette, green beans, shit load of onion, chopped toms, broken spaghetti. I think the boulion stock makes a big difference to flavour.

Stovies are Scottish - potatoes boiled to the point they’re almost the consistency of mash, cooked with beef, onions, and beef dripping.

My DGM sometimes put sausages in aswell, and my DP makes his with corned beef so there are variations.

Not for a busy weekday- but dim sum are pretty easy to make

I use this filling
www.hairybikers.com/recipes/view/pork-and-prawn-dim-sum
And make the wrappers with 120g sifted plain flour and 60ml warm water- mix and knead until smooth, rest in clingfilm for 20 minutes and the break into 7g balls to roll out. I make them regularly whether for gyoza/ dim sum/ wontons etc- the wrappers freeze well once made too- as do filled gyoza type dumplings.

This week we are having

Today- Korean meatloaf with crispy fried egg and sesame spinach

Tomorrow- macaroni peas and cheese

Wednesday- duck in plum sauce, rice and green beans

Thursday- red lentil and country veg soup

Friday- leftover duck spring rolls/ gyoza / chicken chow mien and egg fried rice (basically homemade takeaway)

Saturday- cream cheese filled ravioli with watercress sauce / pizzas and garlic bread for tea

Sunday- pork chops, potato and celeriac dauphinois , roasted sprouts and broccoli.
