Do you have the Morphy Richards sear and stew slow cooker?

So I have just bought this! It was £16.25 in the sale in asda.

I have just taken it out of the box and it's very lightweight and I'm just wondering if anyone else has it and can let me know what they think?

The reason I got this one is because you can seat the meat on the hob in the pot before putting it in the slow cookers which is great and saves using another pot Smile

But before I go ahead and chuck out my old really heavy slow cooker I just wanted to check it is sturdy and does last a long time Grin

Yes I have had two! (I melted the base of the first one by putting it on a hot stovetop by mistakeBlush)
I originally had a Morphy Richards slow cooker with the ceramic pot, but it cracked after about a year so I replaced it with the Sear and Stew.
I love my Sear and Stew, much less hassle than the ceramic, and being nonstick is really easy to clean.

Thank you all for the replies!

It's abit sad but I'm very excited about this Grin

So using it on the hob is fine? And it doesn't damage it atall? I have a gas hob!

I love slow cookers makes life so much easier! What's the yummiest thing you have cooked in it?

I really want to make a Mexican beef dish next Smile

I use it on gas. Be very careful with the non stick. I store the lid in mine and the metal edge scraped the non stick.
Chicken and cashew nuts. Yum!

Yes, and I like it very much. Can put it on the hob to sear veg/meat, or to reheat soup etc. And it's much light than a ceramic one. Possibly doesn't retain heat as well. I put a folded tea towel on top of the lid which helps.

Yes love it. I'm not very adventurous though so never know what to do with it.
