New Years Eve; must have buffet foods?

Just as it states in the title really.

There's going to be around 12 approx people, maybe a few less, perhaps a few more.

It's the first time I have really hosted a small party. None of us drink, really. So I won't be buying much alcohol, mainly soft drinks and a couple bottles of wine.

For food, I know the standard sarnies, a cheese board and crackers, some pâté, olives, sausage rolls, some pigs in blankets, crisps, pizza's, quiche and things similar, but I want to make it a little more special.

Does anyone have any great ideas for making an extra special buffet?

Thanks!

Baked Brie
Mini Yorkshire puds. Waitrose sell them already assembled www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/mini-yorkshire-puddings/468128-65974-65974 but it's cheap and easy to make them yourself, either completely from scratch www.bbc.com/food/recipes/miniyorkshirepudding_11253 or by using Aunt Bessie's mini Yorkshires.

I wouldn’t do sandwiches on a nye buffet. People tend to pick over a while and sandwiches dry out. I often make and a fig, pancetta and Gorgonzola flat bread which in essence is a glorified pizza but does seem a bit more special.

chicken drumsticks
chorizo mozzarella peppers and tomato skewers.
chicken and roasted veggie skewers.
make ready rolled pastry pizza slices.
pesto and cheese roll ups.
what about something like a pasta bake. or one pot rice dish to serve.
coronation chicken.
something like an eton mess to serve in bowls.
