Vegan/Veggieslow cooker recipe book?

Hi all

I have recently bought a slow cooker and I am keen to try it out. I am vegetarian and I have been looking on amazon at recipe books but looking at the reviews many seem to be American so with ingredients we can't get in the UK and reviews are mixed. Can anyone recommend a good book to get me started?

We have just got the Hugh Fernley-Whittingstall book called Much more veg. Its absolutely brilliant and has exciting easy receipes, suits vegans too.

I've just bought Slow Cooker Vegetarian and the Super Easy Vegan Slow Cooker Cookbook. So I'm just posting here in the hope I'll remember to come back and update you once I've tried some recipes :)

My health is very unreliable at the moment so I might not get a chance to try them for a while.

The vegan one has more recipes that I think I'd actually use. We are not vegan, but most of the things we cook in the slow cooker are vegan as it suits beans, lentils etc. Annoyingly the ingredients are in US measurements (who thinks a cup is a good way to measure carrots?!), but I didn't notice many ingredients that aren't available in the UK.

I looked at both of those so would love to hear what you think. I particularly liked the look of the vegan one too but was a bit put off by the US thing!

Oh my goodness Starfish that sounds amazing. I absolutely love orzo. And enchiladas. Thank you. I will definitely try it.

This can be done in the slower cooker. It sounds basic but is suprisingly nice.
