Mumsnet Village Show - An Afternoon Tea Tray for One

So here we are again.

So far the rules are:

Tea tray for one

Can include anything you want suitable for a summer high tea (sandwiches, scones, cake, biscuits etc) with suitable cutlery and crockery and the like. (Silver service if you are terribly posh)

Five quid budget (on top of what you already have in your larder).

SlightlyMadScientist is the judge (heaven help us...is she properly qualified???)

Oh and all entries will be anonymous this time (A, B, C etc).

Time limit is 9pm next sunday so we can be judged before bed time.

The rules will obviously be bent or completely ignored but so long as its tea ish then anything goes.

Excellent. Needed some technical imput there LL.

Oh and if it's anon. NO ADORABLE SHOTS OF CHILDREN EATING SCONES please.

OK?

However, when judging has finished if your DC contributed to the efforts then may I suggest they get a commendation certificate (like wot LL has just done). I'm rather pro child involvement in this endevour...makes us relax about the final result a bit more!

LL - sounds great - and anyone that comes on and says I have just uploaded my pics with their real name will have penalty points as I shall be able to tell who you are (you may come on as CompetitorA if you must).

Note I shall be issuing penalty points for bending rules where appropriate , but I will try not to disqualify anyone. Anyone subjected to rule bending/blatant cheating will be called to teh judges tent and allowed a short time for a defense... (whether I listen or not will be at my discretion)

I shall be developing a marking scheme shortly - and the fact that you are posh enough to have proper tea sets won't necessarily lead to victory (LL - you'll have to try harder than that )

Please keep all receipts in case of dispute on value spent . I will have no cheating in my marquee.

Oh and who is making rosttes? I am not volunteering for that one as I won't have time....
