Best student cook book for someone with no money, no oven and no freezer?

I thought about Jack Munroe's blog but I thought he might be better with a book. But that's probably because I am old, and like reading cook books.

He's gonna have to learn. Jack creates a lot of different recipes that aren't just pulses, i have every one of their books and they're amazing.

Slow cooker - standard one is £14 in Asda. Small compact one £10. Get him one for Christmas.

Also would recommend a slow cooker, you can get quite small ones now though my Tesco basics one was cheap as chips and been feeding a family of four for years!
I really like my Covent Garden soup cook book, if you wanted to supplement it with a hand blender?

Can't he buy a mini oven? I got my Dad one when his oven packed up and it is the best thing he has ever had! Perfect for one person and cheap as well, very economical. Something like this one:

Some of them also have a hob function on top of the mini oven.

Also, I highly recommend "Nosh for Students".

I've followed it many times even though I'm not a student but I am on a cheap budget and they do have some lovely meals on there!
