We had a new kitchen recently and have gone from a tiny single fridge freezer with broken shelves to a massive American one.
We never seem to be able to have much in it!
We still are in the habit of shopping every few days and often have nothing in the house to eat which drives me mad.
But I don't want a fridge full of food that just gets chucked.
So what's in yours?
Reduced fat salad cream
Salad dressing x 4 different types
Cooked sliced chicken
Butter, jam, ham, cheese, cooked chicken, yoghurts, milk, orange juice, celery, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, sausage rolls, pesto, bottle of wine, 3 bottles of beer, left over tuna pasta, Camembert, ketchup, mayonnaise, stir fry pack, medicine, mince.
I need a bigger fridge!
Oh, mushrooms and peppers
Right now(midweek so between shops)
Loads of peppers
About 10 pints of milk
A couple of tubs of flora
Some salted butter
A couple of blocks of cheese
Some snack cheeses

Oh and butter, jam and sour cream. And hummus
Milk, butter, cheese spread, cheese dippers, cheese strings, light mayonnaise, damson jam, pizza, pork pies, cheese and onion rolls, sausage rolls, cheese and onion sandwich filler, beef paste, kids yogurts, patè, Aldi Moroccan lamb mini flatbreads.
Ready peeled potatoes

Few types of mustard
Diet cherry coke
And a sweet drawer full of all

Doors: various jars of chutney and relish, tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, milk, butter
I think that's about it! I went shopping the other day so we're well-stocked. We have an American style fridge freezer too and I absolutely love it!
This is excellent.
We have about 8 chilli sauces and countless mustards.
I need to go a bigger shop so we always have a couple of meals in there.
I also need to check use by dates etc. I'm sure use by dates on pizza etc must be quite long.
Just me with nail varnish, eye cream and aloe vera in the fridge then...?
Blondie I used to keep my nail polish in the fridge, but apparently it shouldn't be in there! I know, crazy.
Gin and milk.
I'm in a hotel at the moment.
Dijon, wholegrain mustard, pickle, cranberry sauce, jam, mayo, salad cream, ketchup, hot sauce, tomato puree, lemon juice, pickled onions, horseradish
Milk, oat milk, eggs (deffo should be in there IMHO) , Chinese oyster sauce, soy sauce, blue cheese, two fancy pizzas, ricotta, Greek yoghurt, pancetta, avocado, celery, spring onions
This was weirdly satisfying and great bed time reading
Jar of redcurrant jelly
Bottle of salad dressing
1pack of butter
My fridge is quite small though.
4 types of mustard, ketchup, brown sauce, mint sauce, mayo, horseradish sauce, 2 types of soy sauce.
1 litre of milk.
A ham (for Christmas)
Carrots, onions, salad stuff.
Juice & beer.
Think that is about it.
Keeping nail polish in the fridge does not extend the shelf life though . I do keep 35 mm film in there though . Like eggs, tomatoes should also not be kept in the fridge.
I create a meal plan for the week and then shop to fit that.
I have puff pastry ( to go with sausage meat in freezer for my chests homemade sausage rolls for Christmas)
Salad ( lettuce tomatoes peppers cucumber and red onion ) enough for 2 dinners to go with burgers and chicken and Cajun spice mix I have in the freezer
I have carrots / courgette / jacket potatoes for med veg dinner and jacket pots and chicken dish
The list goes on I also have yogurt/ satsumas / cookie dough for snakes / desserts
Sausage rolls ready made ( we have a new born and grab and go sometimes is the only way we eat)
Also have ketchup/ brown sauce / salsa/ relishes / pickles / cheese/ butter / jam / mint sauce / apple sauce as staple condiments bits you add to a dish to make it extra special or something you pop on toast.
I think it’s abdolutely fine to keep both eggs and tomatoes in the fridge as it prolongs their shelf life.
However, both should be removed a few hours before use to bring them to room temp to get the best from them.
Lots of fruit and veg (courgettes, peppers, aubergine, carrots, salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, kiwi fruit)
DD breadsticks and cheese dip snacks
Smoked salmon & salmon steak
About three packs of chorizo/sliced ham
Laughing Cow cheese triangles
Odd jar of marinated cherries I got given for Christmas last year
Some home made peanut butter that has probably gone off and I really just need to chuck
Chocolate (DH likes his chocolate refrigerated - weirdo)
Currently rather bare. Door full of various sauces / condiments. Bacon, butter and booze. Must get some shopping in!
