Hello,

I'm not sure where to post; hope it's OK to do it here.

I wanted to buy my DD (5) a food flask for a hot lunch sometimes at school. I first chose this one (I like the brand, colour, etc.) but cancelled the order when I realised how small it is (290ml).

All the reviews are positive, but I wonder how much food their children can have from it?

I don't intend to give her soup and I need something bigger (over 400 ml for sure) that I won't necessarily fill all the way up. So, please could anyone recommend one that is leak-proof, sturdy and that my daughter can use for years?

Thanks a lot!

I’ve recently bought two Thermos food flasks. They aren’t cheap but they’ve been brilliant so far and seem to have plenty of space for a decent lunch which stays warm until they’re eaten.

There’s also a fold up spoon in the lid which is very handy and which my girls love!

We have the thermos ones. They're excellent, but the lids can be hard to unscrew if they're put on too tightly by DH.

We use the Thermos flasks like @BellaMoo. Really recommend them.

Hi all!

I've asked DDs teacher about packed hot lunches and the school does allow them.

Thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it. I will take into consideration everything you suggested.

Cheers!

We have a Thermos Flask - better to get the size flask that you intend to fill - otherwise it won't stay warm enough.
