Cake decorating equipment for a beginner?

DD will be 12 at Christmas and has expressed an interest in baking cake decorating. I'm a pretty keen baker but not very adventurous and I don't decorate beyond the odd sprinkling of icing sugar! So I'm going to get her a cake decorating book, Mary Berry's baking bible and I was thinking some equipment too.

Can anyone recommend a basic set or am I better off making one up for her? Don't want to spend a fortune. What would she need? Help!

Lots of beginners kits on Amazon.

I recomend getting some proper gel food colouring, not the rubbish you get in supermarkets.

If also recomend a Wilson 2d nozzle. It's nice and big so you get a nice swirl on cupcakes and can do the rose type icing with it.

Piping set would be good. I'm not sure how much they are but my partner bought me a turntable for icing which is brilliant.

I bought something like this when I first started.

69 pcs Cake Decorating Equipment -Turntable-Rotating Cake stand-24 Numbered Easy to use Icing Tips with Pattern Chart and E.Book-Straight and Angled Spatula-3 Cake Scrapers www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07BNTD5M4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DHX3BbMPWZK2B?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

Good enough for a beginner, the piping nozzles are quite small hence why I recommended getting the 2d.
