Only half cooked the casserole - finish cooking or freeze it now?

Trying to get ahead with cooking yesterday. Had a beef casserole on the hob that was destined for the freezer. Needed to cook dinner so took it off temporarily and of course forgot about it. I put it in the fridge when I realised but it still needs another hour. Can I finish cooking it today and then freeze it? Isn't that too many reheatings?

Freeze it now and cook for at least an hour next time.

I'm just worried that if I do that I'll forget and just defrost it!

Write on the box, or stick a label on it? I have to sharpie all of my frozen stuff as otherwise I can’t remember what’s what...
