I usually love cooking but I have a very active 18 month old and am 4/5 weeks pregnant and exhausted already. So, I'm hoping to use my slow cooker a bit more. I recently made chilli which was lovely and making beef and tomato casserole next week, but looking for some other ideas.

What was the last thing you made in the slow cooker?

Chilli, very dull and hoping for some inspiration. I fancy doing a ham soon.

sausage, bean and chorizo stew, that was a little while back though, trying to make our way through all the frozen slow cooker meals we have!

Chunky tomato sauce, it needs a fair bit of simmering so goes in the slow cooker so I don’t have to hover over it!

Beef Madras. The beef melted in my mouth. It was frying steak. Just used an Aldi jar with the spices in a plastic top on the lid. Added extra chilli, rinsed the jar with water filled up half way, a beef stock melt and tomato puree. Did it on low for 8 hours. I made garlic naans in the oven and sent ds for chippy chips. It was amazing.
