Would you please share your best muffin or cupcake recipes?

I'm looking for ideas for the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning. DP's work are taking part, so I thought cupcakes or muffins would be suitable and easy to transport. TIA.

What about Sticky Toffee Pudding cupcakes? Topped with dulce du leche buttercream and either sprinkle of sea salt or chopped up Crunchie bar (depending how quickly you want to become diabetic😀)

I find that Red Velvet always go down well - I have the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook and use that recipe - you can find it here www.redonline.co.uk/food/recipes/a500091/hummingbird-bakery-s-red-velvet-cupcakes/
I pipe the icing rather than spreading it on to make them look more special and put a Minstrel on top each one - it seems to help justify charging a bit more!!

115 g unsalted butter(melted)
175 ml lukewarm milk
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence

250g plain flour
30g cocoa powder
2tsp baking powder
170g muscovado sugar
100g chocolate chips( dark, milk or white)

Mix all liquid ingredients with sugar

Addsifted flour, cocoa and baking powder and stir until combined

Add choc chips

Fill muffin cases

Bake at 175 degrees (oven without a fan) for approx 25 mins on middle shelf.
