So, going to Center parcs next week, and they have banned BBQs, not surprisingly. Does anyone have any good ideas for minimal cooking / preparation but delicious food. Limited cold storage, so a few store cupboard ideas would be good.

Only prepared to buy bread there, as the park market is so expensive, and limited.

Ta.

Are you looking for low prep meals you can do there or are you able to prep things at home To take?
If you had hoped to bbq, I would stick to similar things that can be done in the oven instead. Marinated chicken or prawn skewers, fish fillets, haloumi etc.
Puff pastry tarts Andy fritatas are really simple to just bung in the oven.
Simple summery pasta dishes like linguini with chilli, cherry tomatoes and pancetta are quick and easy.

Low prep meals once we're there I think.

I can't stand twatting bbqing, but dh likes to. He is the world's worst cook so I will be preparing the food now. I might just eat cheese, olives and naice bread Smile

Tesco (and I'm sure other supermarkets too) do single serve tins of tuna in different dressings. They're good with rice or jacket potatoes, or in a cold potato or pasta salad.
You can buy tins of Heinz Creationz Mexican Beans from Sainsbury's. They're great in warm wraps with lettuce, peppers and sour cream (can be bought from the ambient section, doesn't need to be chilled) or can be used for enchiladas.

For another easy dish, use Heinz Creationz veg chilli www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/baked-beans-canned-pasta/heinz-vegetable-chilli-beanz-390g and a tin of sweetcorn for nacho pie (see picture). Cover the beans and sweetcorn with chopped jalapeños, tortillas and grated cheese and cook for 15-20 mins.
Tangy couscous feta salad is one of my favourites.

Ooo, lovely ideas thank you. Tesco do taco beans that make a lovely beans dip with tortillas. I do have a tin of the Heinz creation lentils so might take that for an easy curry for one

When we have an oven on SC holidays, we often cook a whole chicken with potato wedges around it, juice of a lemon, onions, mixed dried herbs, glass of water, serve with crusty bread and salad,

Other suggestions: wraps, stir fries, steak, salmon, home made burgers, paella/risotto; chilli - all quick and easy.

If holidaying in this country I would pre-make and freeze a couple of casseroles, chilli or lasagne and take with in a cool box.

Chicken pasta pesto: an onion, a red pepper fried till soft. Add a pack of chicken fillets. cook through. Add a jar of pesto, cook for another 2 mins. Add cooked linguine, penne, whatever, and stir thoroughly to coat.

Good cold also. Only cold thing there is the chicken.
