I have a glut of runner beans. This has happened the last few years too and I froze a lot. They tasted disgusting, like school dinner beans (I don't like commercial frozen beans either).
However, I used to successfully freeze them years ago, so I don't know where I'm going wrong. I've tried blanching/not blanching, cutting fine/cutting chunky, trying them after only a month - always the same.
Has anybody got any advice?
