What's the best brownie recipe?

I used to have a brilliant brownie recipe and have lost it in the mists of time.

Can you please recommend me a good one? Doesn't need to be poncey, but I'm after good brownies with a slightly flakey top and gooey in the middle, ie not cakey.

The Nigel Slater one that was in the Guardian years ago (easy to find on google) is EPIC. Famous among friends and family. It’s relatively easy to make, but I always get loads of praise! Grin

I’d second the hummingbird bakery one. I also add a tbpsn of cocoa powder to make it extra chocolately
