Is this too much soy sauce?

I'm making chow mien which calls for 8tbsp light soy sauce, 2tbsp dark soy sauce and 400g noodles with mixed veg.

I feel that this is too much sodium though! I've been googling and I've read about people dying from sodium overdose... Blush I think it will roughly serve about 4 people, maybe stretch to 5 servings! 100ml is 13g sodium, I weighed it and came up as 120g, so roughly about 14g sodium, divide by 4 which is 3.5g sodium per serving... this is fine, isn't it? I know it's high but it won't cause issues will it Confused God I am acting like a hypochondriac...!

I don’t think any adult has ever died as a result of too much soy sauce, if that were the case your average chinese would have to come with a warning! If you’re worried how about substituting for the low sodium version? I don’t know how much less salt it actually contains but like you I’m a fellow soy sauce fiend so I go for the green label and don’t give it a second thought!

Just taste it as you put it in,stop when it tastes good. You don’t need to follow recipes to the absolute letter for them to work.
