The Mumsnet Rasher

Bacon is full of flavour. I have nearly enough bacony recipes that only use a rasher or so each that I could probably feed my family a meal tasting of meat every day for a week with one packet of bacon, or indeed one of those 60p packs of value cooking bacon from the supermarket. I'd like to try it as a challenge.

Day 1:
spaghetti carbonara
Day 2:
batter pudding with gravy and veg.
Day 3:
lentil and bvacon soup (also using the fat from the bacon over the last 2 days)
Day 4:
Baked sweet potato with cream cheese topping and a sprinkle of very crispy bacon on each one.
Day 5:
Bacon and tomato pasta

Any more please? Get me enough to make a weeks' worth and I'll try it and let you know if my family notice.

Just thought of hash: fried up onion, potatoes (the tinned ones are ideal) and finely chopped bacon or sausage, with a fried egg on top. Great for a camp breakfast.

I also do store cupboard sweetcorn pancakes with a couple of bacon rashers.

mix with cheesy leeks top onto baked potato.

tray bake sweet potato potatos,bacon ,red onion.mix with peas.
dauphinois and bacon
boulanger potatos and bacon.
bacon and potato rosti
one pot chicken thigh stock bacon and peas spring stew.
