Flat breads and lamb

Morning

I have been through my watched list and can't find a thread on flat breads I'm sure I had. Loads of replies and I think maybe a Jamie Oliver recipie? Can anyone remember the thread.

Also, I have tonnes of lamb chops which I'm not a fan of. I was thinking I could slow cook and pull the meat off and serve with flat breads. Anyone have any interesting recipes that might work....I was thinking kofta but don't have mincer although do have chunky blender.

I'm not a lamb eater myself, but friends rave about ottolenghi 's lamb shawarma. There is a v celebrated Jamie flatbread, think it's from how 5 ingredients book

I had a recipe somewhere from Donna Hay I believe. If I remember correctly she put hummus on the flatbread, mixed the lamb meat with honey, sumak and pine nuts and put that on top. She served it with mint leaves. I'm doing this from memory so could miss something. Not at home so can't check the recipe. Twas nice though.

I recall seeing a thread here about his flatbreads - was it the 'just 5 ingredient' book?

I made something along those lines last Sunday.
I slow cooked a lamb shoulder with a jar of anchovies, lots of garlic and passata.
We ate it shredded with pitta, hummous, tzatziki, and Greek salad.

Don’t eat lamb but I’d say slow cook a la shwarma would be good as pp said - or cubed maybe with a tzatziki and salad in the flatbread?

Oh wow thanks all. Lamb is falling apart after being cooked in slow cooker so am just ridding bones and deciding which to try.

I may have ate the sample flat bread. Okay two sample flat breads. Just as well we don't have dinner till late.

100g self raising flour, 4 tablespoons Greek yoghurt, 1 tablespoon olive oil . Mix then roll out and fry in two pieces in dry non stick pan

I read this as “Flat Breasts and Lamb”. That would probably be an entirely different evening to the one the OP had envisaged...Grin
