The new children's menu at Pizza Express is fab

DD (8) had dough balls, margherita pizza, small portion of cucumber and cherry toms, toffee ice-cream (posh stuff) with real toffee pieces (was delicious at I "stole" some ) and a bambicino (milky froth with chocolate sprinkled on top) all for £5.25.

She loved it all and felt very grown up

Her and Ds (he only ate doughballs!) loved the colouring/entertainment pack they were given too.

It's good, isn't it (though we found it was fine before too - you could just ask them to do garlic bread sized pizzas for the DCs).

carluccios also do an excellent children's menu for about the same price.

Yes before we always just asked for a small margherita.

I just thought what she got for the price was fantastic, although I doubt those under 5 would probably be able to manage it all. It would certainly be a waste for ds who is a picky eater.

Sounds like a lovely treat to me too. P E interesting round here, they once did a kiddies menu then told me they didn't and never had !! and have now started doing this so we shall try it out!.
PE is also the only place I've ever had public criticism for BF (I felt so sorry for the poor 21 yo male waiter who was desperately defending me and apologising). Wouldn't stop me BFagain in there but they were doing a special offer on drinks and the person had been so loud I felt I had to have a juice!

I think the great thing about the Pizza Express Children's menu is that it is THEIR normal menu food but simplified (e.g. without dressings and sauces) and VERY cheap

We also went to another PE which was truely dreadful we ordered salad and it looked like they only had enough lettuce for one but had split it into 2 I left starving. Also their food had way too much salt in.

Don't think my ds would get on well with you aviatrix . My dd would have accepted the no toy at the table rule at 3 but ds is a different kettle of fish. Do you want to come round and give me some tips?

Oohh, I agree Fimbo
We were at pizza Express for dinner today - dc's thought children's menu was great and loved the Piccolo pack full of pencils, stickers, puzzles etc

it must be the only PE that has closed down
