Cooking something ridiculous

I am having the busiest week ever at work and my brain is frazzled. Driving home tonight I decided I wanted comforting food. So I'm making a cheesy pasta pie. With a suet crust. Wish me luck!

We've just had far too much crab and chilli Tesco ravioli for exactly the same reason.

Enjoy 😊

I can’t really picture that, but I wish you luck

I’ve been really wanting to make this one - need to get round to it soon as it seems like a cold-weather dish...

Sounds scrummy OP!

The other day I simply could not be arsed to go to Tesco after a loooong hard day, even though our cupboards were just like those of Mother Hubbard. So I just ate what we had left in the house...

A spring roll
Half a packet savoury chicken microwave rice
Half a tin of low-sugar baked beans
3 potato croquettes

DH took the piss, but I rather enjoyed it!

This is it. I have to say it is rather good and the suet pastry is lovely and crisp. I had some leftover homemade pulled pork in the fridge so have had that with it. NB I haven't eaten the whole thing tonight!

Is that cheesy pasta inside with a crispy cheesy suet pastry crust?! Oh my! That sounds amazing! (Hope no-one from the low carb threads spot me here salivating Grin)

Not cheese pastry but I should have done that! I mixed partly cooked pasta with leftover Boursin with black pepper and some French soft cheese. It has a pastry base and crust. I used a metal tin and blind baked the base for ten minutes.

That is a carb overload! So If you could just bring that to me, next time I'm hungover, that'd be great Grin

I was a balanced meal, with protein and everything! It was fab. Did the trick without resorting to a load of sugary rubbish.
