Rocket lollies make my DS bounce off the walls...any good recipes for homemade ice-lollies?

Rocket lollies, Fruitinis and the like make my DS totally wired and hyper so (without getting all Annabel Karmel) I was wondering whether I should have a crack at making my own fruit lollies. I know they've got to contain a bit of sugar/honey to make them taste nice (not too bothered about that) but I want to avoid any artificial colourings/flavourings. Any recipes gratefully received!

Fresh apple juice is yummy - reminds me of cider lollies, in fact I think most fresh fruit juices will work.

or diluted squash

Plain yogurt with mashed up banana and sweetened with honey. Also works well with most berry fruits

Cut a small slit in the lid of a petite filous and insert lolly stick, bung in freezer et voila a frozen yoghurt on a stick.

I just get a bag of frozen berries, whizz up, sometimes add a bit of water or lemonade and freeze.

Hey DL - don't defrost the rockets. Just because they send ds doolally doesn't mean that you can't enjoy their sugary, chemical nonsense does it?

Great idea, WW...I'm going to eat 5 rocket lollies right now, get totally wired and tell all the gossiping mums at the school gates to fuck off and die when I collect DS at 3pm.

Must second RHW's suggestion cos that exact recipe is an age old favourite at the Wonka Factory.

Yeo Valley do tubes of strawberry yogurt which are great for freezing. Keep their little hands cold too- brrr when they come and warm them up your top.

DD loves ones made from tinned peaches (the ones in water) just pureed and frozen - I don't add anything else.

Stick a spoon in a tub of fromage frais and freeze it. Then you just have to dip it in hot water to slide the pot off.
