What do you eat with toad in the hole?

Just that really, do you have it with any carbs or do you count the hole bit as carbs?

We have mash and veg with it (and gravy) because we don’t care about ‘double carbing’.

No, it already has carbs so I’d just cook veg - maybe broccoli or beans beans or something.

Green veg. It counts as the carbs. Usually put some apple slices in with the sausages.

Interesting. Partner cooked it and counts hole as carbs so no mash with it. I'm starving now. I feel a portion of mash would have been welcome.

Personally I’m not a fan, so tend to only cook it once in a blue moon, but I go somewhere down the middle with swede and carrot mash, peas and onion gravy.

I tend to do it with cabbage and mashed swede , i find it too heavy having potatoes with it but if thats what you like have them
