This weekend is the first weekend in months that I am not working on my MSc (completed this week)
The dcs are with their dad
I'm going out tonight
And next week is family Chinese night (first Saturday after payday)

So inspire me with a treat meal I can eat in peace tomorrow with a drink and watch some tv Smile
What would you go for?

My go to are spaghetti carbonara, mussels, pasta with bacon and chilli or Indian ready meal from M&S.

Hot roast beef & thick onion gravy barm (bread roll Grin) with mustard on and some triple cooked chips. Even the slices from the deli will do instead of having to cook a joint.

A delicious, creamy, indulgent risotto.

Mussels in a white wine garlic sauce with crusty bread or french fries.

Microwave chicken and prawn paella - can eat with a spoon in front of the telly.
If you want a bit more effort: steak (alla milanese i.e. dressed in breadcrumbs) and oven chips.
Dessert - fresh cherries.
Enjoy - let us know what you choose - and congrats on finishing your MSc work.

Chicken breasts stuffed with mozerella and wrapped in bacon with a white wine and mushroom sauce.
Served with either chunky chips or brown rice and, normally, peas, green beans and sugar snaps peas.

If I want a meal that I can veg out with on the sofa with and is easy to cook then the go to is macaroni cheese, sometimes served with some crusty bread, sometimes with southern fried chicken, sometimes just a big bowl of it on its own.

This

My go-to Saturday night dinner with a large glass of wine - yummy and easy to make. I go a little bit heavier on the garlic and chilli just because it's SO delicious

Macaroni cheese. With a large glass of red wine or three.

Usually if it's just me, though, I make a bowl of dip and have it with crisps. Blush

Anything with a lot of pasta and garlic bread

Go for a dominos. I love anything that I haven't had to make myself...so a donner kebab with loads of salad, mayo and some chips would be the ideal 😀

Easy and indulgent spaghetti carbonara, or an m&s ready made duck confit with ready made potato daupnoise (dont like to make too much effort for self.

Ooh my faves lately have been home made kebabs where i made lamb meatball or falafel in advance then crisped up in oven with home made chips toast a pita bread stuff with salad and serve with mayo mixxed with piri piri. Nom. Looks great on the plate plus indulgent but not too unhealthy. You can buy falafel and lamb kofta in the deli aisle.
