Healthy Meals That Children Actually Enjoy...

I desperately need some new ideas, we're stuck in a rut every week with dinners, I'm so bored of the same meals. Happy to cook things from scratch, just lacking the imagination at the moment.

I have 2 DC - 4 and 1.

Meals we have regularly are: spag bol, mild chilli, special fried rice, shepherd pie, roast chicken or beef dinner, risotto, cheesy pasta, homemade burgers and sweet potato wedges, mild fajitas, chicken or beef stew, frittata, curry, salmon and cous cous, pulled pork and corn on the cob, sausage and mash, toad in the hole.

Following. My 4 year old ds happily ate a cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel today (which I assume is a fairly acquired taste) yet refuses to put ANY vegetables near his lips (unless I hide them well in a tomato sauce or such like).

Anything with pesto usually goes down well (homemade is healthier than shop bought for salt content but I do use both).

We're not really fussy, apart from not eating fish. Just Dd(5), me and dp, we'll eat anything really.

PurplePotatoes we have very similar dinners to yours!

twix try a vegetable chilli, you can hide so many veggies in that and it tastes lovely, dd loves it.
