3 meals dilemma.

I have being trying to come up with a solution to save money and time with meals times. At the moment I'm pretty much cooking 3 separate meals. I'm the veggie, my partner will eat most things except fish and the little one don't eat anything flavoured or any sauces. He only eats very bland food. His very picky!!! Most of the time it's jackets, mash, chips with chicken or some sort of meat.

Trying to make a meal that we can all eat is becoming impossible. I feel if I could get him to like other stuff I could save money by buying bulk and making and freezing stuff.

Nope, trying to get him to try cheese is a massive challenge. We really don't understand why he won't try new things.

For LO, I would keep serving your meal but serve things separately, so if it's pasta and a sauce, make sure they don't touch and he can eat just the pasta if he can't try the rest. My DS2 was/is very fussy, but would sometimes try a bit of something if sat at the table long enough to get bored (while everyone else ate, I didn't make him sit there alone).

If DH will eat "anything" he can share your vegetarian meal unless he's doing the cooking. However, as you have LO to consider also if you're feeling very generous you could do a chicken breast or meatballs etc to go with your vegetarian meal and LO can have that plain.

FWIW my DS2 had a terrible aversion to all things dairy (except formula Hmm ) and also had eczema until he stopped with the formula. I often wonder if he/his instinct knew best.

how old is he.could you et him excited by asking hm to help out.
or say iff your at the shops.getting all (high pitched mum voice) and asking if he can pick a new food for your all to try.or what colour veg shall we have." "right your turn to choose the rice, salad, pasta" or say you want to try cooking something new and you could use his help
what about veggie meatballs
veggie burgers.
have you any cookbooks.could you be looking through and ask if he thinks anything looks nice.
make him seems respected.needed and expert.teach him how to cook/stir etc.
get him some little chef white.
slowly introduce new dishes and his tastes might start adusting
does he like bacon. something like a double stuffed jacket potato.so you scoop out the innard of the potato and mix it with bacon onions anything else he has(yes often cheese) then put it back into the skin like a boat.work with mince too and is rather fun.
what about making his own mini pizas on pitta or tortillas.you don't need cheese on pizza.
