Need a good millionaire shortcake recipe

We are pretty good bakers in our house but we just cannot get this right. It usually ends up looking like one blob rather than 3 separate layers.

Can anyone recommend a really nice recipe as we love it. Also I want to bake this as gifts for people so need it to look nice.

Tips very welcome.

Following. There was a cafe in bath which made the best I've ever had. I can't remember the name!

We made this one at the weekend and it was fantastic. If I got it in a cake shop I would think it was FAB.

Yummy

P.s. Use milk and dark chocolate as dark on its own is too strong.
