Leaving stew out overnight?

I had emetophobia before my son was born (fear of vomiting) and I did suffer panic attacks if I felt sick or thought I was at risk of catching a bug etc. My baby is now 10 months old almost and my phobia has got SO much worse. Literally unless I have had just me and my son locked in my house I get awful anxiety that either of us have caught something.
DHs parents live abroad and I get so anxious when they stay in case I feel sick and they witness me having a panic attack or they get anything while staying with us.
And the thought of going over to stay with them next year is actually filling me with dread.. it’s crossed my mind to split with DH so I don’t have to go. That’s how bad it is. Someone was sick in front of us in Tesco which I was with MIL and DS and I literally ran off and got home and cried.
I’ve tried CBT.. I’m on meds.. nothing helps.

What has leaving stew out overnight got to do with it? Are you asking if that would make you ill? Because it won't.

I have experienced similar anxieties and in the end last year went to the GP. I thought I would be laughed at, but she was so lovely and understanding. She prescribed citalopram to deal with the immediate anxieties and referred me for CBT therapy.
I was lucky and didn’t have to wait too long for the therapy. It was enormously helpful - the therapist was amazing. She didn’t just tell me to be rational, but understood my fears and helped me develop ways to deal with them.

I highly recommend going to see your GP. You won’t be dismissed and will hopefully be helped to manage your anxiety.

And with the respect to the stew - if it’s chicken, I’d chuck it...anything else should be fine.

Sorry, just re-read your OP and saw you’ve tried CBT and are on meds. It’s still worth going back to your GP to see if perhaps a change in medication might help.
