I made a neighbour a cottage pie, unfortunately it was left outside there door for 8 hours. Its approximately 11oc no sun. Would you eat it?

Of course! We leave ours out after dinner, overnight and eat it for lunch next day.

It's colder outside on a doorstep so it'll be fine! Whack in the oven.

Most definitely would, OP.
(though, TBH, right now I could eat anything comforting and hot...is freezing here and my cold lunchtime salad wasn't ideal!).

Like TheVanguardSix, re-heated leftover cottage pie, which has been out for ages between times, is standard in this household.

How nice you are, providing delicious home cooking for your neighbours. Smile
