£18k a year on food ??!! I don't even earn that! It was such an interesting watch as the lady obviously had some deep seated anxieties around food. I was amazed that she had the time/head space to go to the garage shop up to 3 times a day. I shop monthly and just do small top ups of milk, fruit, veg so that was alien to me. Brilliant programme as ever though! What did you think?

Who has time to go to the shops 3x a day!!! Also what was the big hatred to herbs and spices??

Easy fix by convincing her to make rather than buy ready made. I just hope she carries it on.

I get a bit miffed at the end with the big “reveal” when items come from a huge mix of supermarkets. Who has time to get bread from Tesco, peanut butter from Aldi, marg from Lidl? Confused

I love this show. Lots of tips and ideas if you (like me!) are trying to cut down food costs!

I agree brassica, I only have time to go to one supermarket for a big shop and it happens to be Aldi, no way is there time to pop from shop to shop to get the best deal on an item. This programme is great for recipe ideas though and I like the nutritionists advice and recipes. Last night taught me that actually DH and I DO eat well for much, much less!

Brassica it's the BBC so they cannot favour one shop. The idea is don't be afraid to try supermarket own brand.
