Halloween canapés

We have friends coming at the weekend and they love Halloween! They are adults, no kids around, but I want to make some Halloween canapés as a nod to their enthusiasm for all things dressing up etc.

Any simple canapé ideas welcome or any recipes that I could adapt please!!

Cut tortilla wraps into Halloween’s shapes - bats work well and then toast and serve with dip.

You could make some green (just use food colouring) blinis to top with sour cream, orange smoked salmon and (if you're feeling fancy) black caviar. Or normal blinis which you could buy, and put the colour in the sour cream.

You could make "mummy" sausage rolls, tube of sausage meat laid on a sheet of puff pastry, make horizontal cuts either side of the meat and wrap/plait the pastry around to make mummy shapes? Cheese straw/biscuit "fingers" use flaked almond for the finger nails, anything tomatoey can be "blood". Supermarket magazines usually have lots of ideas this time of year.

Pea blinis (lurid green)
Stuff lychees with dried prunes - eyeballs
Cheese biscuits in haloween shapes
Wantons in that slightly pumpkin shape

I love a theme!

mummy sausages:ready to roll pastry cut into strips then wrapped round sausages.or do the same except round meatballs this worked brilliantly with little olive eyes.
mirangue kisses then do dots for eyes and a mouth they look awesome.
choc cupcakes with fondant pumkins.mathcmaker spiders
pizzas with cuttie cutter ghosts of cheese or meats.the olives cut into spiders.
make sandwhiches then cut them in the shapes of coffins.put some strips of pepper on top for a cross.again they worked so well for us.
make a big cake with icing then through the icing using skewer form a cobweb shape
chocolate mouses as grave with oreo breadcrubs(soill)biscuit gravestone
white choco covered starberries then draw ghost faces in dark choc.

It maybe an adult party but no Halloween party is complete without bowls of monster munch. (I have just elevated monster munch to canapé!)

I carve a small pumpkin that looks like it’s vomitting and display guacamole pouring out of its mouth
