Lunches to pack that won't up my baggage allowance

Hello, we are off on holiday for half term. Half board, but in an aparthotel so we have cooking facilities. There is only a corner shop there and I can't be bothered going to the supermarket. Any ideas for fairly small, light things to take that might liven up lunches? We had ham sandwiches nearly every day last year and it got a bit boring!

I took microwave rice, lentils, couscous packs on holiday, to go with fresh salad/vegetables purchased locally. I also took some herb mixes to season things.

Stuffed Wraps work well with bags of salad. You could freeze the fillings so just have to tip in a frying pan to warm first, chicken or beef fajita, veg or even just tomato & cheese grillled like a pizza. Simple!

You're not allowed to take food products overseas

You can usually take packets of commercially prepared food in unopened original packaging to most countries. Some countries will not allow in any home-made food, opened packaging, or unlabelled packaging.

That said, I really wouldn't bother. There's always something to eat - be adventurous! Don't just go for the boring, safe options, have something different and unfamiliar every day. Save your baggage allowance for stuff you really need, or want, or souvenirs.

There is of course always something to eat, but for a quick lunchtime pit stop with 2 young kids in between swims, you don't want to eat out, and I know the local shops this time of year are winding down and have very limited variety. It is very much a holiday resort area rather than for locals, which we are happy with at this point of the kids lives when we all need a break.
Will look out for your suggestions, thanks

We tend to take mixes of spices and that sort of thing with us as you don't always want to buy whole tubs even when they are available. You could take some wraps and dry fry them with cheese and meat (salami/pepperoni/ham etc) or whatever (peppers, onion etc) between two wraps (turn when warmed through on one side) and then cut into wedges like pizza. Mine enjoy toast and poached egg when we are away which should hopefully be avaiable. Packets of noodles? Cup a soup or packet soup like chicken noodle)? Bread and jam for a change? You could also do some spicy potato wedges with melted cheese on though I've not always been able to find potatoes!

Tinned potatoes sliced up and fried with veg or whatever and added beaten egg to make a nice fritatta type thing?

If taking in hand luggage, don't take anything remotely paste like ( cheese, pastor etc) unless under 100ml or it will get confiscated and will need to go in a bag with your toiletries.
