Quick question - frozen chilli

If a portion of home made frozen chilli was taken out of the freezer at 3pm today and put in the fridge to defrost -
Will it be ok to heat it and eat at about 7pm tomorrow (so over 24 hours.)

Thanks! I've rarely used a freezer so hopeless with it.
