50th Birthday Party Food

Desperately seeking ideas for food for my own party. Expecting 24 people at my house (eek!) and need to feed them. I don't mind cooking, as I often think nibbles etc can often end up more of a faff, however my issue is as well as carnivores, there will be 2 vegetarians, 1 lactose intolerant and 1 vegan. I really don't want to cook 101 different meals - does anyone have any suggestions (apart from sending them all off the the local chippy!) ? Thank you.

Mexican.
1 big chicken and green pepper
1 big aubergine veggie
Tortillas and taco
Guac
Salsa
Sour cream
Grated cheese
Jalapinos
Shredded
Refried beans

People assemble their own. I've done this for large numbers before and it's always gone down well.

How about beef/salmon wellington and then a veggie/vegan version made with nuts and mushrooms?

Curry could be another way to go as there are so many delicious veggie and meat ones - plus you can make them in advance and they actually taste better when reheated

Thanks Blondie1984. I was thinking of salmon because a whole one actually works out quite cost effective. I'm a bit scared of the quantity of curry I would need to make - does anyone have a guide on how much meat you should allow per person? Can't be as much as I cook for the family every day!
