One-dish meals you can adapt for different dislikes

I have 2 fussy eaters and a non-fussy semi-vegetarian. Luckily I have recently realised that I can do:

  1. toad-in-the-hole with apple and sage at one end for dh and me, just sausages at the other for dses and vegetarian sausages in the corner for dd

  1. lasagne with just cheese and tomato at one end for dses and extra layers of vegetable for the rest of us

Does anyone have any other good suggestions for ways to separate out different parts so I still only have to cook one meal and can cater for everyone's different fussinesses without having to bring loads of things to the table and feeling like I'm running a cafe?

I have a family with coeliacs and dairy intolerance in different people so I know what you mean about feeling like running a cafe!

I don't like eating meat so we mostly eat veggie. Sometimes i get some sausages and oven cook them as a side for the meat eaters but always try to hve protein in other forms as part of the meal too.

I like your idea about cooking various different types of dish in the same pot 😊 I don't really do this due to cross-contamination (frustrating as sounds v efficient!) but easy things that I do like are:

-Jacket potatoes with range of toppings
-Bean chilli with rice (can use micro rice for ease) and optional salad, cheese and sour cream
-shepherd pie made with lentils - guess you could do lentil bolognaise at one end of your dish and the same sauce with meat added to it at the other?
-oven meals; different frozen stuff all bunged in the oven!
-pizzas (as home made or not as you like)

Thank you, Bunloaf!

The shepherd's pie idea intrigues me. Particularly as dh (who is normally not fussy) doesn't like lentils and I love them, so I could do lentils for dd and me at one end....

The jacket potatoes could be one of those things where you put fillings in and then put them back in the oven, and that way they'd all be ready at the same time.

Frittata would work for everyone wouldn't it?

What is a semi vegetarian? And what are you fussy dc's dislikes?
You could do a puff pastry tart with different toppings in different on different sections.
Fajhitas, people can make up their own, cook one pan of veggies then keep warm whilst you do one of chicken. Salsa, guacamole, cheese for people to add their own.
Big pan of cauli cheese, bacon added to one end.
I think I'd be dishing up more veggie meals!
