Vegetable phobic child!

Ok so I know he is not actually phobic but it seems that way.
My 7 yr old won't eat veg except peas, tomato sauce( homemade) and the occasional carrot.
It's all about control ,habit and fear of new things and bad parenting!
So I'm working on the control ,fear and stubbornness in all area and we are making very slow progress but we are making progress.
So I've realise he is not going to take to steamed veggies any time soon.what are your feelings on
a)allowing a sauce like ketchup on the veg
b) cooking it differently like stir fried in garlic or with cheese on or even roast.
C) hiding it , I've had some luck with bland veg in a tomato sauce if really well blended!
I'm not sure if I should be forcing the habit of eating veg or just getting the nutrients into him any old how.
I do keep cooking and serving a variety of veg to the rest of the family and suggesting he tries it .

I'm so gutted by his diet my other 2 eat brilliantly .

I'd do a mixture of hiding food and encouraging him. How about having buffet style meals sometimes where everyone helps themselves? Don't make a fuss if he tries some veg.
I would have no problem with all your suggestions. Fine to put ketchup on veg or cheese. We often serve cauliflower cheese or broccoli cheese (for variation).
Don't worry!

I would do everything you suggest as well as continuing to offer regular veg. Would he consider trying a salsa as a dip? Will he eat pesto pasta? You can blend loads of green veg to something passing as pesto!
If you do go down the hiding veg or jazzing up veg root I'd recommend butternut squash falafels, delicious and they don't look like veg!

And no to salsa or BBQ sauce or mayo or any sort of Chinese sauce or any dip other than actual cream cheese at a push . He also cries if I give him son food !

I reckon do all of those things. Also, does he have a favourite meal? My children love roast dinners and I find I can put new vegetables down and have more chance of them trying them if doused in gravy. It's like they become drunk on the gravy and forget to be the annoyingly picky non veg eating children they are for the rest of the week.
