Nursery lunches for 10mo

DS has already started nursery (very short maternity leave in this country unfortunately) and I'd like to send in some nice homemade things, for both spoon feeding and self feeding.

We live in a hot country - how should I safely transport mashed foods (fruit, veg, meat, or cheese mashes, for example) in the heat? Will a cool bag and cool pack be ok? If so, for how long?

Do you think finger foods like mini muffins, croquettes etc. will transport well? Do these things need cool bag/pack?

I'm a bit paranoid and I'm also a very bad cook so I'm trying to improve!

Thanks Smile

Could you batch cook and freeze then take out of the freezer first thing so it would be defrosted by lunch time?

A little insulated lunch bag with some ice packs should keep it cool. Are nursery ok about reheating foods parents have sent in? Some won't do it.

I think as a PP suggested, freeze them and take them out in the morning, should be fine for about 12 hours.
