DH was given this at work and didn't want to look stupid and ask what it was. Surely not a giant courgette? Banana included in photo for scale.

Is this really a massive courgette?

Courgette. I had a couple that hid and grew and grew and grew until they resembled clubs. I've used them in chutney and called them marrows.

Yep I would say marrow. You can cut it into rings scoop out the seeds in the middle and stuff with whatever you fancy and bake in the oven.

Courgette methinks. I have grown them before and managed to get some whoppers.

Woah, never knew they were the same thing - thank you all! I'm thinking veggie lasagne or something along those lines. However...cake is always a good choice Grin

Slice in half lengthways, scoop out the middle, fill with bolognaise and top with cheese, bung in oven. Yum.

Marrow is lovely just peeled, de-seeded and cut into cubes, then either steamed or briefly boiled, served with butter and white pepper. Haven't had it for ages - will get some this week!
