Hello. Can anyone give me a recipe for a Jammy Dodger tray bake please? I know Nadiya did one for the Sunday Times magazine but when I have tried to Google it, I'm required to sign up to the newspaper in order to see it.
My kids love jammy dodgers and I thought it would be fun to make this.
Many thanks X

I found this on Pinterest a while ago, never made it but was planning to do it with the kids over the holidays.

Sorry can't do a shorter link on my phone!

Thanks for the link crumbsinthecutlerydrawer, but I think the one I am after is a no bake one, with white chocolate on top. More like a malteser slice. I will try this one too though so it won't be wasted! X

That sounds nice and easy, I haven't seen the Nadiya one but I'm hoping someone else has it now. It doesn't sound quite as stodgy.

Jammy biscuit bars
Makes 9

150g Jammie Dodgers
125g unsalted butter
400g white chocolate, chopped
2 tbsp golden syrup
1 tbsp caster sugar
9g dehydrated strawberries

1 Line a 22cm brownie tin. Roughly chop the biscuits and set aside in a medium-sized bowl.
2 Place the butter, half the chocolate, the golden syrup and caster sugar in a small pan and heat until the chocolate has melted.
3 Leave to cool for about 10 minutes, then pour all over the biscuits and mix until they are all coated.
4 Pour the mixture into the tin and press down gently. Leave to chill until set.
5 Melt the remaining white chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Once melted, pour all over the chilled biscuit base and sprinkle over the dehydrated strawberries. Leave to set and cut into equal pieces.

Nadiya’s tip
It may sound fiddly chopping up the biscuits with a knife, but it’s the only way to get shards of biscuit with a bit of strawberry jam in every piece. It you put them in a bag and smash them with a rolling pin, they go all clumpy, which is not what you are after at all.

Come back with a pic OP! I have a week off work and need some motivation to get back into baking Smile I haven't had much time to do it lately and DP and DSD are most unimpressed at the lack of baked goods around the house!
