I'm ill with a work injury. Full of cold and after has come early and is dark Sad

Anyway Dss are teens and eat a good bit. They fancied Chinese tonight but local one was shut. So I did their favourite chicken and rice as bit skint anyway tbh.

Cheated as I'll. I'm going to teach them how to make it as ds1 is 2nd year8uni and ds2 is going on ncs scheme soon and needs to cook second week. Plus he should know anyway. Ds1 is pretty independent.

So it's basmati rice 50p . Morrisons Bbq chicken slices £2.50. Frozen cheap veg 40p 1/2 red onion chopped finely , some season all, garlic, chilli, water from veg cooked in mic. Coconut oil and some veg oil. Cooked rice. Cooked veg at same time. Drained veg keeping water. Added all veg to hot oil. Added spices. Added fried chicken and rice. Stirred. Gave ds2 his and added 2 eggs for ds1 and I for chicken veg egg fried rice. Ds1 hates eggs. 3 big portions one for me too as I don't lose my appetite when I'll. Dh had eaten. Less than fiver.

I had maggi chilli sauce with mine Smile

Great tip. I'm back on cooking form again. So much takeaways taste crap and aren't worth the money, imo.

I do a rice with chicken and pesto and some parmesan. Delish!

I'll try that. Ds1 uses pesto a lot being a student.
