Hi can anyone recommend a food mag that gives good recipes and inspiration for (roughly) seasonal family meals? I am not very confident with my skills and repertoire is rather lacking!

No sorry. If I'm ever lacking in inspiration, I usually go to the library and borrow a couple of books. I don't tend to buy magazines though.

Your best bet if you have a tablet is Readly
gb.readly.com/catalog

Among the food magazines it has are
BBC Good Food
Olive
BBC Easy Cook
500 Calorie Diet
Jamie
Sainsburys Magazine
Healthy Food
Veggie
Food to Love
Cake International
FeelGoodFood

There are 1000s of magazines - even The Beano

Costs £7.99 a month but you can try free for 14 days and you can see all the back issues too.

BBC good food and Delicious are both good. The Sainsbury's Magazine is also really good.

Oh wow cdtaylornats readly looks amazing. I have 2 magazine subscriptions and oh has 1 per month, so that's cheaper per month than those 3 and so much more!! I'll never be lost for something to read again. Thank you!

I'll second Readly, it's brilliant. You can also have up to 5 people using it on different devices for one subscription payment.

Another vote for the BBC good food website, some of my favourite recipes have been taken from there. All very simple too.

I have just signed up to Readly. Doing 2 weeks free for now but have already founds lots of good recipes. I might not keep it for long but worth having for even just a couple of months to note down any interesting recipes.

My DC are also enjoying the football magazines!

Another vote for readly.
You can also download the magazine to read offline (handy for when waiting for kids to come out of school in village with low phone signal)
