New set of pots and pans

Hello, cooks of mumsnet. I need a bit of help. I am looking to buy a new set of pots and pans, as my current lot are ten years old and losing their teflon coating. They are a set of Anolon anodised pans, and they have been ok. However, I am thinking about switching to stainless steel, as they seem to be a lot more durable (no teflon coating to peel off with time). I have been looking at WMF, possibly something like this.

What do you think would be the best type of pan to invest on? Stainless steel, anodised? Not bother and get a take away? Other ideas?

Watching as we are exactly the same. Had analon pots by Raymond Blanc and they were really good to start but are very tired now after 6 years.

I have a set of these stainless steel pans from John Lewis, and I love them - they are lovely to use, and if something does get burnt on, I can scour it off.

We got these to replace a set of ale Creuset we got as a wedding present, and I wouldn't go back to them.

I do have a non-stick wok/chef's pan, and I would replace it with a stainless steel one if I could find one the right size that I could afford. In my experience, the non-stick coating never lasts, or stays as good as new, however careful I am to use wooden or plastic utensils.

Thanks to all, it is reassuring to hear that other people have the same issues with anodised pots.

Update: I think that after some research I will go for the German wmf set. Thanks a lot for input and comments. Always good to get unbiased opinions.

I've got a set of these from Stellar - got them in TK Maxx for around £20 each and they are amazing. Keep the heat in for ages after use, so you can cook veg and leave them in it, self straining lids and suitable for most hobs. Completely non stick too without coatings.
