Pre/pro-biotic drinks. Do you drink regularly and do they actually make any difference to your health?

The pharmacist recommended I drink them at the moment as I'm on antibiotics which are making me nauseous (the idea being to restore some bacteria to my stomach).
Are they - in your opinion/ experience - worth taking all the time?

(I've bought the Muller Vitality ones with a pre and pro biotic and omega oil as they were on offer).

My mum and mil swear by them. MIL has had lots of tummy problems in the past but these days she hardly ever gets them.

Years ago I went to a nutritionist and she advised that I didn't take them (at the time I was trying yakult) as iho the sugar outweighed any advantage.

Save your money and just eat fruit and veg. BBC did a programme called The Truth about Food and found that these drinks did not deliver what they promised, here

Just buy a big tub of live yoghurt, it contains all the good bacteria you need to make up for taking antibiotics and none of the sugar that those ridiculously overpriced marketting gimick drinks contain. Seriously.

Mix it with some fresh fruit and you have a ver healthy addition to your diet.
