How would you cook this?

Sorry stupidly tiny thing but I can't find anything online!

I bought some microwave rice pouches from work lunches but there's a bit too much for me in a whole pouch.

How would you cook half/store the other half?

Sorry I'm so ignorant at using microwaves!

Can't you just pour half into a microwave proof dish and cook it in that? Store the other half in tupperware and use the day after.

Tip out half into a microwavable dish, cover it and microwave for about half the time. Check it's piping hot before eating. Keep the rest in the pouch, fold the top over and put in a freezer bag in the fridge. Use within 24 hours.

Any sort of microwavable dish e.g. a ceramic bowl with clingfilm over it or a tub and lid suitable for microwave use

Sometimes the instructions suggest adding a splash of water if you're nuking it without the packet.

Side plate on top of a cereal bowl will do if you don't want to use cling film.

I had no idea you could microwave clingfilm! Blush
