Please..

I don't do the cooking in this house apart from the basics.

But today I'm attempting to cook what we call sausage hotpot which is basically sausages, carrots, peas and potatoes in gravy.

How long do I cook everything for?

I sort of plan to roast the sausages first whilst the carrots and peas are boiling.

Once they are cooked, chop the sausages up.

Add gravy granules to the carrots and peas and stir until thickened, then add the sausages.

Put the potatoes on the plate and add the hot pot.

Does this sound about right?

I plan to remove some carrots and peas from the water for Ds to have his without gravy but apart from that does it all sound ok?

How long can I expect it to all take to cook?

If I were doing it i would fry off the sausages in a pan and then put them in a casserole dish, fry off a chopped onion and a chopped carrot and add to casserole dish. Add stock and gravy granules to casserole dish and stirs in frozen peas. Top with slices potato and brush with melted butter. Bake in the oven for about 40 mins.
