Chicken and leek pie

I've some leeks in the freezer that I want to use up so I have bought some frozen pastry and chicken and figure I'll make a pie.

Should I fry the leeks off first do you think before adding them to the chicken pie filling mix?

Or just mix the frozen leeks with the chicken, add to the pie and cook?

TIA

I think either would be fine. In terms of taste, I would probably fry them. I love Chicken & leek pie. I add bacon to mine. Yum.

Definitely add bacon. And a bit of Dijon mustard/whole grain mustard. Yum.

Cook the chicken for 5-10min then add the leeks until soft, add chopped bacon or similar. Add chicken stock but not to much simmer until chicken cooked. Add creme fresh to make a very delicious creamy sauce then pop into a dish cover with puff pastry and oven cook.
