I understand that you give normal foods when BLW? But how do you intro it to baby?

Is it a case of one meal instead of giving a bottol/ breast milk you lay out a small plate of spag bol? Or some peices of chicken?

Or do you give some of the milk first and then lay out a plate?

I've got the websites, so will be reading thoes. But I just don't know how to get started?

you give milk as normal. early weaning isn't about filling their tummy with food, it's just about giving them food to play with and have a taste of. at first with blw they probably won't be able to eat much at all.

so the idea is milk as normal, food offered when you're eating. so maybe at dinner if you're cooking veg, make some extra for your baby to play with. at lunch, hand over some fruit to play with and so on. as he gets better at holding it and sucking/chewing it, hand more over and in more combinations.

i think i stuck to fruit and veg for the first couple of weeks, then introduced bread and pasta, then dairy and protein at about 7 months.

so if i was having salmon with broccoli and potatoes with sauce, dd would firstly just have brocolli, then next time she'd get broccoli plus potato, then after that salmon too, then some sauce as well.
