Remember the threads where we'd all cook from the same book for a month?

Is that still going?

I can't seem to see any recent threads for it, but I'd love to try it - I never really got too involved before due to lack of time, but I loved reading them.

The idea was that we nominated two books a month (easy to access ones) and would all try to cook at two or three different things from each book and then compare notes.

If anyone would like to do it with me now, I am just about to cook my second thing this week from Fresh India by Meera Sodha. Last night I made the pea, mint and dill soup which was absolutely heavenly.

Tonight I am going to do the root vegetable Madras.

Anyone else have this book, or would like to suggest a second book? I pretty much have every well known cookbook under the sun but need a push to use them more!

Interested to hear how you get on, fresh India is on my Christmas list! Is there much you want to try?

"We" did Fresh India in September (it wasn't a convenient time for me, so
I didn't cook, but did read) - here
I know it's not still live, but you can see what people made, what they thought.

And if you have a book to suggest, just start a thread, the cookbook addicts quickly come out of the woodwork Wink :)

Fresh India is on my Christmas list too! So come end of December I'll be cooking most of our meals from that.

Do you have River Cottage's veg every day? Been meaning to do more meals from that book, although what I've cooked so far has been tasty.

Huevos thanks I will look.

The roasted root vegetable madras was delicious last night and there are loads of things in that book I am itching to try.

I do have the RCVE book but I haven't used it much yet apart from me thing which has become a huge favourite.

Okay so if Fresh India ha been done I will think of another one and make a new thread, thanks all.
