Frikadellen - what can I do with them??

Enthusiastically chucked these in in Aldi thinking they might be my next new favourite thing but I literally have no clue how to serve / eat them. I'd like to call it lunch so some kind of veg / salad and a carb.... pitta? Wrap? Condiments?

Any ideas??

Throw them in the bin Wink sorry! Had them in Belgium and wasn't a fan, to put it mildly!

German Frikadellen are yum, Belgian and Dutch not so. I usually have them with salad. Enjoy!

Love them! Just treat them as the meat in a meat & two veg meal.

a swedish style sauce (allspice beefstock creme fraiche) chips peas and cranberry sauce. i hate to see food (even z grade meat) go to waste.

put them in a crusty roll with a thin spread of mustard.

If they're round like an English burger, then they're German (and I think prob would be if bought from Aldi). Hot is best.

Hot with veg sides, in this weather stir fried greens are good. Probably would not give it another chance tbh as they did not go down well

I use them like a beef burger.
Lovely on lightly toasted muffins.

They're the same as meatballs. You can slice them and serve with pasta and tomato sauce.

I like them cold, sliced on crusty bread with hot mustard and leaves.

They are German. Burger shaped.

You can eat the Aldi ones - if you are hard pressed for time, have ravenous teenagers etc., but they are nothing to the real thing. Get one of the different regional recipes (spelling?) and make them yourself. You can freeze them, too, if you like.

Frikadellen / Buletten / Fleischkiechle / Fleischpflanzerl

The think ones we get from Aldi or Lidl are amazing. We slice them thinly down the middle and use them as burgers. Kids love them and they have a high meat content but very low fat content too.
